At some point Brandon Peters turned into Wes Lunt. Afraid to throw the ball. He has to make a decision much more quickly.

Here we go again, trying to establish our physicality on the first series. Get some yards!

Peters doesn’t seem to feel the pocket closing. Having said that, how does an OL with this much size and experience play so ineffectively?

If we are gonna stand a chance in this game we gotta give our defense some rest! This 3 and out crap isn't gonna cut it!

Time to give Art the ball. Might as well gives him reps for next year.

Per our Off line coach, he only worries about pass blocking at the end of practice.

Is there any coach in America that does not know our offensive game plan?

so I know we will give up the most yards as a team in the big this year. the question is.. will we give up the points too

I get the frustration with Peters, but if Art comes in leads the team to a win I'll eat my socks.

Neither QB is going to win the game, but I’d like to limit the embarrassment with peters

We fumble the ball, Illinois......
we give up the points, Illinois......
our players are slow,
we let teams run and throw,
for so many yards, Illinois.....
RAH RAH!

But I still love them and watch every game. This is fine.

I’m not even saying lead the team to a win. That’s saying Peters is the only reason the team sucks. We all know that’s not true.

But, right now, he might be the worst player on the offensive side of the ball.

Especially given his position.

BB likes to run the ball and play man coverage with multiple blitz packages.... can't do that with the current illini. we are 2-3 years out min until we can do that... the transfer portal could help that. we have to go get linemen and DBs in the portal.

But Art will be here next. Rather let him get experience.
If we weren't alert trying to rebuild Art after a rough go at Rutgers I would agree, but I think putting him in without building his confidence in practice first is a disservice to him.
