I'm all fired up so as a way to let it out I wrote a pregame speech for coach U to tell the boys tonight. I'm posting it here in case it will fire any of you up too. Let's have some fun tonight.

"Gentleman, we are about to enter a war. I will not lie to you, tonight will not be easy. From the moment you leave this room and run through the tunnel, until the moment the clock runs to zero, prepare to feel what it is like to be the most hated team on earth. It will be a fight. A dog fight. Expect to be bumped, expect to be bruised, and expect a lot of bull s**t. F&%k, that’s what I expect.

But you know what I don’t expect? I don’t expect this group, this group RIGHT HERE to do nothing about it. I don’t expect this group RIGHT HERE to roll over and give up. I don’t expect this group RIGHT HERE to do ANYTHING ELSE BUT FIGHT RIGHT BACK.

The world is expecting this group RIGHT HERE to get run out of the gym and lose by 11 points. Can you believe that? 11 points. Let me tell you what, gentlemen. You know just as well as I do that that….that is bulls**t. Tonight, tonight is why we do it. Tonight is the culmination of why we do everything we do to be every day guys. Tonight is why we are in the gym at 6am in the morning in July. Tonight is the reason why we run sprints every practice. Tonight is the reason you’re the first on the floor for a loose ball in practice, or your the first to ride the pine. Tonight is the reason you stay in and study tape instead of going to kams with everyone else around you. Tonight is the reason you lace up your shoes everyday at practice. Tonight - you show everybody what I already know. Tonight you prove to the world that you are the best team in the country, every god damn day.

And we only make it out of here if we fight. We must fight back, gentleman. You will need to scratch, claw, and kick for all 40 minutes of the game. You will need to play hard for every second, for every millisecond, that the clock is running, and you need to test your resolve. Because Purdue will be. Purdue will be looking to shut your !!! up. If you aren't ready to do that, then I want you the hell out of my foxhole right now. Because there is someone who would give ANYTHING to be in the foxhole with you right here, right now, ready to fight.

But guys...come on. Really? Let’s be honest, has anyone’s expectations for this team and what we can do changed in the last 2 weeks? No, really, I'm asking honestly, does anyone in this room RIGHT NOW really believe that we aren't the best team in the country? I’ll tell you what, and I know you believe me when I say this, my expectations have not changed one iota. You are the best god damn team in the country. If we play how we practice, we win this game by 20. But you know who doesn't think that? The world outside this room right here.

Now, it is time to go show the world what we have known all season. Every. God. Damn. Day.

Now go take care of business. Team on three"
