Just listened to BU's pre Rutgers presser and I really like the approach brad has with this team.....he talks about the opponents abilities so much that I get a lot better understanding as to what we are going to see as regards to that game ....The next game mentality has to help keep this squad grounded and ready to absorb the scouting report and put it in their playing the game....

If I read the odds right, the line opened favoring Rutgers by 2, and it's now Illinois favored by 2. Seems like a big change to me, but either way, it's basically a pick-em. Hard not to be optimistic after that Minney game, but Rutgers is legit. Will be a very good game for either team's resume.

Still a good game plan, they just failed to execute. In my experience it's pretty rare to lose when you outscore the other team.
Looking forward to this game. It has been a little of one step forward one step back thus far Time to see if this is a good team that can play very well sometimes or a very good team. Need to put a streak together. Close game, wipe them out I don’t care — just win baby.

To me, these are the games that can define you as a team that can be "special good", or just a good team. Special good Illinois beats Rutgers on the road. Good Illinois plays Rutgers at home even up. Rutgers is good and at home.
