Quick thoughts....

We played a really strong first half, except for: (1) Turnovers, and (2) Fouls. I still think/hope that we'll pull out the "W", but those two things are enough to burn us.

TSJ is the best player on the court and a monster getting to the rim. Dain with huge minutes with two fouls while managing to not get his third. The transfers showing their experience and handling the hostile environment well. We let them back in, which sucks, but keep up the effort, protect the basketball, and we got this.

I feel pretty good considering Rutgers made some tough shots (see banked three), and we bailed them out with some cheap fouls. Felt like we missed some bunnies in the final 7 or 8 there too, which might be RU’s length too. At the end of the day, losing this game will be our own doing via turnovers if we can’t be more ball sound in the 2nd half.

Eliminate some of the fouls and turnovers the second half and we’ll be fine. Rutgers didn’t really show much and we haven’t run on all cylinders yet.

Who is saying this? It's simply, clearly lopsided officiating right now.
I don’t think 12-8 is that lopsided, when we just don’t run a lot of offense that draws fouls (and probably shouldn’t with our free throw shooting).

My point was that there are missed calls both ways all the time. To which Floridaman responded that I was incorrect on the missed calls that favored us (one of which Bardo called out live as it was so obvious).

There are going to be lots of plays and contact that could be called every game. Some posters on here refuse to see the ones that benefit us, and then claim “we’re getting screwed” in various phrasing by pointing out the ones that benefit the opponent.

All that said, I need to learn to end this crusade and just let other posters see what they want to see… sincerely. Go Illini.

Dainja's last 3-4 shots looked like he had his eyes closed.............

1 or 2 Coleman Hawkins threes could really change the way they’re guarding us. Too much dribbling around the perimeter in the final 7 or 8 minutes. Need QG on the floor attacking the rim as well. When everyone starts ballwatching TSJ, this team runs into trouble on offense
