If your expectations were a playoff for this Illinois team, then you’re leaving this year sorely disappointed.

If your expectations were 8-4/9-3 and another solid year for a team that doesn’t do that a lot, then we can still reach that.

The “how” is importsnt for many of us. The total and utter collapse of a tough defensive identity since 2022 and especially since last year has been breath taking.
