I know this is overdramatic but we could lose some current players due to this

That shot Matic just took and missed horribly after the whistle sums up the last decade of Illinois Basketball.

I'm not even sure you could call that a "clank."

Back off and contain them on defense. They either have not been taught correctly or they physically cannot play it. Adjust......

The good thing is we only have listen to that drummer for the rest of this game. Wisconsin has to listen to it for THE REST OF THE SEASON. If I were a Wiscy fan—perish the thought—I’d be showing up at the next game with a hammer.

Our offense is more fun to watch, but I’ve seen no evidence that this coaching staff is an improvement over the last two in coaching winning basketball.

So, you would change the coaching staff, just over half way through the season? I'm willing to give a rebuild a little bit longer than 20 games...

The Illini won't win a game until the Mark's start scoring.

Maybe we need to recruit some other Mark's then.. Alstork doesn't look like he can shoot & Smith is totally lost. Both have been huge disappointments.

I just can't call Alstork a bust. He works so hard, all the time. Rebounds a ton, plays hella defense. But I do wish he was more of an offensive weapon.

Alstork has the makings of a solid role player. He doesn't have the talent + skillset to effectively create at this level.

The bigger problem is, outside of Frazier (and only sometimes), we don't have anyone who can destabilize a defense, so guys like Alstork don't often get open looks off of a collapsed defense or open lanes to take it to the cup.

Right now, depression is definitely overtaking the fanbase. But, if Ayo is as fluid with the ball as people say he is, I think it should really help other players perform better. Right now, lack of individual playmaking on offense is clearly one of our biggest problems.

No. Was in reference to the continued Groce-blaming and “gee, Brad must be frustrated” posts.

I’ll be here next week, next year, and next decade.

But I’m frustrated, and I feel like the coaches are not getting enough of the heat for the current train wreck that is Illini basketball.

Well at least DW does not have to worry about that errant end of game pass tonight

Hey, Vesel with his first authoritative offensive move! I kinda like it even though it didn't fall.
