Giorgi with only one foul at halftime, no? That is the stat that I have been caring about most lately.

That should not be the case. 18-22 year old kids, not having played since last Thursday should not be a problem in the first half. That's an excuse.

This isn't an NBA team playing back-to-back road games.

They just aren't playing well offensively. If anything, they're tight. Fatigue should not be an excuse before halftime.

This game is proving why Ayo will be back...he is not on with his shot so far, but has the ability to command attention. He needs to learn how/when to turn off the Alpha mentality and trust to get others involved using the attention from the defense. He has not done that so far this game. If he continues to shoot and at this % for rest of the game we will have a minimum of 5-7 more empty possessions on the road...we won't win that way.

We have to figure out a way to get more offensive, other than the pinch post handoff drives and some early threes..we have gotten nothing

I fully expect to lose this game. We just played our hearts out and have nothing to show for it. I'm exhausted just watching these guys... can't imagine how they're feeling.

Note: not saying it's over. Just my feeling.

This team ... seriously, up 1 on the road at Kohl. D has been outstanding so far. If they pull this off, aint nowhere they can't win.

It wasn't our best half in any facet, just have to see what we've got the 2nd half, more offense please.

I feel oddly comfortable about the second half. Giorgi with one foul and we can start running our offense through him more in the second half. Go right at Happ.

Beware Kohl Center garbage cans. Trent watching the shot, instead of finishing the block out. Ayo has made more than his fair share of clutch freshmen shots and had a ton of great stretches this year, but the one and done conversations really need to be tabled. Too many stretches where he looks like a freshman.

Do not know what to say.

Never trailed, BUT ................................

Someone on this board said earlier in the week that both teams style will make you play ugly.

We’ll see whose ugly is worse

This is a good point and true. Playing tight and being more taken more seriously in opposing teams’ game preps. Wisconsin is forcing these ugly shots around the rim.

College basketball is weak this year... Wisconsin is not a top 25 team most years with this talent..Purdue not a top 15 most years with their talent....Duke will be hard to beat

Short with every shot. Legs are fatigued.

I understand that.

The question is how come he has legs that are fatigued ? Worked too much between tOSU game and today? ?????

IF that is true, then I have really no hope for the BTT.

Wish we would have played them at Kohl earlier in the year and had that lost we had at home. 26-25 at SFC right now, I'd be so confident we would win this one. At the Kohl Center, confidence level really diminished.

All things equal, at the UC in the BIG tournament, I'll take us by 8 or more.

Oh...I got you now. I'm not sure, but if I took a stab at it.....they work very hard on defense in practice and they have been maximum effort. It's very normal to have some muscle fatigue from time to time. I'm just speculating of course, I realize they are 18 and 19 yr olds, but cumulative fatigue can hit anyone at any time with the kind of effort they exert on a daily basis.

My other theory is, of course, aliens.

We need to push the ball and go to the hoop. We are playing at the pace that Wisky wants.

If you offered me a one point halftime lead despite 34% shooting pregame, I say yes for sure. Giorgi will find some offense. Ayo needs to stop the one man offense until he gets to feeling it within the game flow.

One other point - we were really lucky they missed so many open threes early... but I feel like our D adjusted, so I’m not sure they’ll get those looks second half.

We can do this.

You put it much more eloquently than I did. If they can't play a fully energized first half, after not playing since last week.....if we win a game in the BTT, we're going to get THROTTLED the next day.

Fatigue should not be an issue whatsoever....at least not in the first half.
