Be careful what you wish for.
Today's first half in Madison brought to you with regular commercial interruption but limited offense by, "The Commodores".
In three years, Hawk has failed to shoot literally 200+ times within 8 ft. and uncontested. He has to shoot open shots at every opportunity if this team is going to be any good. Scorers have to score, especially when left alone to shoot when you are 6'10" tall and have the skill to do it.
It could happen.

If you had told me, we'd be 7-17 from two, 2-10 from three, 0-3 from free throw line, have 7 turnovers against only 3 assists, and we'd be up by four at half, I'd say... "what are we playing Wisconsin or something?"

This is Wisconsin's 3rd game in 6 days. Wear them down.
While perhaps not THE reason this a is *A* reason the big ten gets rolled in the tournament. This style of basketball goes up against a streamlined scoring machine and it's hard to win 4 in a row, let alone 6. We just get blitzed and can't catch up.

Both teams are cold as ice , but I'll take a 4 point lead at halftime today.....
We need to keep playing the great D and drive to the basket and keep getting fouls on bucky .....they have a distinct drop off in skill level from their starters to their second 5.......

I remember my first B1G game…Sure seems like some posters would rather lose a 90-86 game than win a 50-46 game…
Hawkins’ play in first half is the reason he’s at best a 2nd round pick if he comes out IMO. He does enough good things on D and can be a good rebounder, but I just think a first rounder (and most 2nd rounders) should be able to at least once during the course of a half when his team is struggling offensively get himself a good look at the basket for a bucket. CH had no points on one shot.
Credit to whoever the Fox studio analyst was who just joked about the lack of scoring, that was funny. As the aerobics team was flipping around on the court he said, "Maybe they can put the ball in the basket."

My 6-year old grandson knocked down 12 points in his game this morning. So at least I’ve seem some offensive production.

Only 3 players scored for us. Hard to believe in a college game.
Comparing players across a 40 year gap and based on all of 20 games is pretty much an exercise in futility.
