A lot of these sacks feel like they are on Luke. Don't have any advanced stats like time to throw to back that up

I feel so bad for Luke having chosen to come back and for THIS to be his final season of eligibility. There have been moments, but overall, a pretty pathetic and impotent showing when expectations were (reasonably) so much higher.
Too early for post-season sentiments, but Luke is an all-timer in my book. Glad he was here for his final season.

Has Henry been given any sort of formal vote of confidence this year? I've heard his support for him, but curious if anything promising another year has been explicit.

When a fumble is one of your best offensive plays....

I'm still a believer in Bret but how concerned should we be that this was supposed to be a big season for us and this game might be the worst showing of his entire Illinois tenure?
Reality is last year was a 9 win team that was way closer to 6-6 than we’d care to admit. And then beat what was apparently a fraud of a program in the bowl game. IL football can never seem to move beyond the occasional good season followed by a letdown when the following season has some buzz.

Bret is good. But this staff has some weak spots. And tbh the recruiting really needs to elevate. There are a lot of very mediocre players in the starting units.

special teams and D terrible and only scored 3 points in the second half against a 3-7 team. inexcusable

He has not. I wish he would because that is usually the kiss of death.
