It's just never going to happen. BU has never coached zone nor should he; it isn't a recipe for success with the three point line where it is in the college game.

The things is, I no longer feel bad calling players out for their lack of effort or terrible play. They are paid thousands of dollars to play now. They are semi-pros and fair or not, when you're being paid more than many will ever make in their lifetime, you better play hard.

If you don't know how the principles of playing a good zone, the results will be worse than getting dusted man to man. This team has a LONG way to go defensively. Playing really good defense is hard. It takes toughness, effort and physicality. The effort can be corrected at halftime in a locker room. The other two comes with experience.
I'm pretty certain that Brad will touch on that in the post game.

Agreed. Tomi has great size, but he's far from menacing. He's a classic Euro big, which means super skilled, but not overly athletic or physical.
