You missed the birth of Coleman F****** Hawkins, and a lot of free throws.
When Kofi returns can't forget we have multiple weapons. Not going to invoke the Flying Illini, but I get that feeling watching so many players with elite college level skills on this team. Hutcherson is like Hawkins as a combo, going to create mismatches and problems with his size and skill package.
So tell me exactly why a starting lineup of Kofi, Grandison, Cohawk, Curbelo, and Frazier won't work??
Sure looks like they have all earned it. Don't know why you would start any other players. It won't last long as they all need to rest but their backups are pretty good too and can only get better. May get to an 8 man rotation far sooner than we imagined. Of course, the entire season could be exploded with a season ending injury or two.

He is amazing but I am honestly not worrying about this. NBA is about talent and I would say a 3-star recruit may not be qualified after 1 year excellent performance in NCAA. The best scenario for him that I can imagine is being drafted in the 2nd round after becoming a legend of Illinois and getting the diploma here.
Nothing to worry about. If he plays well enough to get drafted that most likely means a final four run.

At this point Omar is an upgrade over Hamlin. Hawkins an upgrade over Giorgi.
I personally am not worried, but if there is reason to be worried that we have three guys with eligibility left going pro after this year… should be a good year. (And that’s not including three solid seniors and Hutch who will likely go directly to the nba hall of fame)
