If we beat Iowa, and that's no sure thing, it's the last game we will win this season.
Here's where I have to stop you. Look at Duke. Those are NBA players. They look the part. They're big, physical, quick, strong and they finish plays. They also play both ends.

I have seen much, much worse than we are seeing tonight. This is a much more competitive team than many of Weber and Groce teams. This is definitely not a train wreck. Just a disappointing season.
We found it alright. Then broke out our shovels and continued to dig furiously.
At this point, my only advice is to take Iowa and the points.
Last thing I need is for another injury... take KJ and the main guns out... live to fight another day... Iowa is as must a win as they come.

Underwood is too comfortable to address the failings of the team he put together this past Spring. I wouldn't expect any changes in roster or coaching responsibilities over the next 5 weeks. Hopefully, Josh Whitman can help Underwood come to his senses before the portal recruiting season begins in 5 or so weeks.

He is the best defender we have. … remember? lol it’s like Brad talks to all of us like we don’t have eyes and like no one but him understands the game of basketball. He has embarrassed this program in the worst ways this year. I can’t remember being an Illini team being embarrassed like this on national tv in 7-8 years.
TA was the teacher. Underwood essentially threw him out.

Thank you. A lot of money. Thank goodness I have the fellowship of a good Illini friend and met some Illini fans at the bar pregame. Had a nice drive up today. Had lunch at the place in New Brunswick where we’ve enjoyed beer and Stromboli at the Rutgers football and basketball wins in late ‘23 and last November.
Beautiful sunny day on the east coast. So there’s all that. Enjoyable walk through Lower Manhattan.

I honestly think it could be worse. Weber actually gave Groce some good pieces (BP3, DJ, Nnanna, Tracy Abrams, Myke Henry). If Brad left at this point, what is he even leaving to the next coach? We'd have pretty much a completely empty roster. Would have to hope we hire someone who brings an entire team over like Dusty May,
This is 100% correct. What the coach can be blamed for is recruiting misses and changing his beliefs and who he is for this.
He tried to recruit players by selling a Boston Celtics caliber offensive style. That's NEVER been a BU team.
His teams are old, they're tough, their physical, they will pop you in the mouth, they take accountability.....they're everything that this team isn't.
That needs to change this off-season.
