Game Thread: Illinois vs Duke

[skyIdub]

Barry Lunney is great....until he's not...and it seems to come at the worst times possible.

[Lakes333]

A program of taking two steps forward and five steps backwards.

[Second place is 1st loser]

Houser has formed a very, very bad habit, which is staring Dixon down. He doesn't go through any sort of progression. Those plays had 0 chance and one got picked.

When does basketball season start?

Not soon enough.

[EmeraldCityIllini]

Even if by some miracle they stop this run, not sure I believe in the offense enough now either.

[SescIllini]

What was the point to move Feagin to TE? Basically taken one of our best players out of the game.

[Illinois_2_AZ]

You can't blame Lunney. The D sucked all day.

[SuperMetroid]

Baffling play calling on that drive

Completely agree with that

[TheFlyingIllini1317]

Terrible on money downs cost us the game.

I’m utterly perplexed at what I have watched with the O this 2nd half. Manny is a good defensive mind but they’re not doing anything that special other than bracketing Dixon on occasion. Barry is better than this. Makes no sense.

[SescIllini]

O line abd D line need to be better.

[ChiIllini75]

Not sure why that play wasn't using Dixon as a decoy, there has to be someone who can get open when that much attention is on Dixon.

[CDRUSN]

Illini fan of the day!!

I like the way he mowed the lawn in that chest hair.

The fat lady is about to get up and sing

She went home

[FloridaMan]

Would be nice if any of our multiple highly touted receivers would give Houser an alternate target instead of locking in on Dixon every single play.

[Chillinini]

Illinois football is what it is. Program that'll never be elite. Maybe once in a blue moon, they can make the playoffs. But just good enough to get 6-9 wins per season and get to a bowl. Nothing more.

[IllinoisGrad0609]

If I'm Duke, I go for it.

[RDS]

Program turning the wrong way in year 6. That’s not gonna reverse itself

[dsg]

Of course they got it.

[skyIdub]

Aaaaaaaannnnnnnnnd basketball season.

[foby]
