Game Thread: Illinois vs Duke

[EmeraldCityIllini]

Not sure I loved those first two downs.

And then lose the timeout.

[CoachHooleyHoo]

This officiating crew loves to throw flags. Goodness.

[Fly Illini Fly!]

Play of the game thus far is that dang fake punt… changed the big mo in a big way.

That and not being able to get 3pts before the half due to zero timeouts. Even 1 would’ve helped.

[From the cheap seats]

So you’ve got Houser completing almost everything…and you break out the wildcat???

[SampsonRelpenk]

Did not like that second down call.

Yeah, there was no need to double down on the cuteness there.

[KBLEE]

Did he say the Illini player went down after they spotted the ball?

[Second place is 1st loser]

Which followed a blown up reverse.

Yes.

[Fly Illini Fly!]

I notice that Duke tackles the ball carrier low…and they fall to the ground. Interesting technique…/s

Our strategy looks to be jumping on guys’ backs.

So many people have left.

Mostly on the east grandstands...Its over 80 degrees and in the hot sun, that will wear on you...I imagine they're watching the game from the inside and come back out when the sun goes down...

[Ill... INI 27]

Duke defense slightly improving, ILL, D not.

[skyIdub]

Here's your ballgame.

[TheChief4Life]

Glad we went for it… but such an odd choice of play calls to end that drive…

[Altgeld's Bells]

Poor Valentine got leveled.

[Hereforit]

Let’s go, D. NOW is the time.

[TentakilRex]

Ugggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggh

[RIP_Chief_2003]

That’s our 4th down play?

[Miles Leonard]

Welp

[Retro62]

WTF on both those calls

[Illinois_2_AZ]

Not looking good now.

[Second place is 1st loser]

For as good as Lunney has been this game, he tried to show how he's the smartest guy in the room and screwed himself.

[LFOD]

Uh oh

[NASchamp]

Really not a good play call there.

[Lakes333]

Hes not even open Hauser.

[CoachHooleyHoo]

What a terrible play call!!!!
