That's why these games are so important. People write it off to "Oh, he can rest because it's just FGCU."
That's not how things work. From an individual perspective, you have to get the rust off. From a team perspective, they have to build chemistry and BU needs to see who plays well together, who doesn't, etc.
You can't load your schedule up with these types of teams, but you can't over schedule either. With all of the injuries, I'm concerned about a game like Texas Tech SO early.

Stoya may need a handful of games before his confiedence rises to a needed level. I am concerned that Ty will be lost for the season to the same malady as it is difficult to surmise his skills have been elevated during his severe injury.
The good news is that there are 3 other guys wearing street clothes on the bench that have proven their value to this team.
As much as anything I guess what I am trying to say is that I am mind-boggled at this point as to the ceiling for this team. But then I think that what we have seen is how they perform against JSU and FGCU....not UConn, Alabama, Tenn., Mizzou or TT. But I like what I have seen to date from the guys who have played.
And I will say I like the defensive effort and function.
