When Iowa state doubles Domask on the baseline, the player in the opposite corner needs to cut to the basket, it is wide open. If TJ would have cut to the basket on that one that Domask tried to get all the way over to him in the corner, it’s a dunk. Couple times we could have had that.

What I hope is that this team has listened to all the talk about ISU's defense and remembered that we're pretty good at it too when we commit.

So far the game is looking the opposite. Iowa State giving up a lot of points and Illinois playing stellar defense.

Also lots of assists.

Would like to see us push it a bit more in transition of Iowa State misses… their half court defense is bothering us, and we’re not moving the ball or cutting like we did in the first 5 minutes of the game.

At the same time, don’t pull a Dainja and be sloppy throwing it around. They are elite at picking off passing lanes and converting that to points off turnovers. If nothing else, make them play half court offense.

This game is so freaking frenetic. It's wild.

It is actually typical as the build up of energy for these kids leads to a frenzy to start most of these games. Run and gun is the norm. I would like to see the ball go in the middle and look for cutters but that is not how this offense works.
