Fantastic defense. Keep it up. Please let’s not get cute and change it up after the half like vs Purdue.
Love going into the locker room coming off two made free throws and that it extended the lead to 10. Hopefully settles down the free throw shooting nerves. Hopefully more attempts from the more reliable guys (Domask, Shannon, Hawkins) and less from the less reliable (Guerrier, Rodgers, Dainja) in the second half in that department.
Observation:
- CoHawk = unsung hero of the first half. Was ferocious on the defensive glass
- It’s an abomination we’re ONLY up 10. Maybe for all the “Ia St shooting will revert to the mean” we can also say “Our FT shooting will revert to the mean
- We are the way more aggressive / physical team
- Shannon didn’t have any legs on his jumpers at the end of the half. He’s doing lord’s work on Gilbert. D possession around 7 minute mark he recovers thru ball screen and stays down thru 3 pump fakes. Two words — SCOUTING. REPORT.

We need some rest. The game is unreasonably physical. Cannot blame our players too much on the FTs. They are too tired.

7-16 from the line. Not going to make them all, but we definitely left at least 5 on the floor. Also, silly foul on TJ with a minute to go.

Keep defending and rebounding and we got this even if they force our offense to be a little ragged at times
We got to just drive the ball into the paint instead of shooting 3’s.
Going to need TSJ and CH to drive more to the rim in the 2nd half. Need Marcus to keep pushing towards the basket and kick-out like he has been.
We are down to 41% from the field but we missed a bunch late. Maybe not enough substitutions?
Iowa Ststevis a 2. Guys are playing the hearts out. Iowa State is great, but tired also.
Love the effort on the defensive end, but I feel like it is taking a lot out of Shannon on the offensive end. His last few 3pt shots have been short.
We haven't shot the ball very well, and Iowa St. has shot it worse. 30-20 rebounds is the difference right now.
Need some quality bench minutes. Four guys 17+ minutes against a very physical team.

Apt word for how they play. It's pretty darn obnoxious, but good for them for making ugly successful up till this point. Shame we gotta end their season.
I'm worried about our energy in the second half. Terrance looks gassed already. Underwood should've given him a few minutes to rest.
