Game Thread: Illinois vs Iowa State

[jumpingjack]

Just called my folks to make sure that they keep the jerseys on. They are old but promise to stay awake.
You're welcome.

[Orangetool]

Hope coach shows them how our shots are short, info for an adjustment.

[GallopingGhost]

Boy Howdy I sure would like us to make some free throws.

[hooraybeer]

jay wright is the man. glad he’s no longer coaching for our sake

[SoCal Illini]

Get Bruce Pearl off my screen

He’s going to present a necklace to a lucky viewer…

[logjam]

Domask defense on Momcilovic has been excellent.

He does a lot of things you don't notice...

After he took Brunson from our beloved, he owed us a favor

[GetAWin]

Defense has been great. .. better than ISU.

[zentrails]

A 10+ point halftime lead would be ok, but it feels like it should be more.

Against a 2 seed? I'll take it.

[Flyin' Illini]

If we lose, I’m disgusted with the Hawkins “blocking” foul turned three,

I think it should have been a charge, BUT you could make the argument that Hawkins was already moving backwards before the contact.

I like that IState has all halftime to think about being down ten, and should be 20.

[GetAWin]

I think the FT problem is nerves.

[spillini]

WE ARE ON PACE TO WIN A S16 GAME OVER A 2-SEED BY 20!

(But to most of you it feels like we are losing…)

We remember the PSU game!

This is really fun, though.

We haven't shot the ball very well, and Iowa St. has shot it worse. 30-20 rebounds is the difference right now.

And our defense

[NarrowJ]

He does a lot of things you don't notice...

I'm a Domask truther for sure... the talking heads know, they just noted at halftime that he has 19 assists and 4 turnovers in the tournament so far

[Mr. Roberts]

Iowa State has foul trouble. Four guys with 2, one with 3. Stop settling for threes. Cut to the rim. Finish the game against their second five.

[biglug58]

I can’t even look at Satan. Ugly mofo. Don’t care what he has to say. We all know he’s full of it.

[logjam]

F- Bruce Pearl...

I misread that..I thought you typed alive....lol
Guess having a beer per 4 min TO does factor into reading..lol

[BWBW]

Satan with a good analysis of the game.

[SescIllini]

Another 36 points and think we win. ISU will not score 46 in a half. If they do they are giving up 50

[JJE]

Five ISU players with 2 or more fouls. 13 ISU fouls.
We better be ready for the refs to even things up in the first couple minutes of the second half.

[FromTheLogo]

They will not shoot 29% the whole game.

Correct. They may shoot even worse.

Nice time for this to be the case.
