That seems to happen with the modern day kid. Things spiraled out of control so quickly. This is a perfect storm, Iowa is very good at exposing what we are bad at. Tough, physical football. When you are getting your face punched, it often looks like you are not interested.

You're right. I just don't the body language many of our players are displaying. Disappointing. We need players who are talented, but play to the whistle on every snap.

I thought that the team would win four games this year. I think I will be right.

I also thought that the team would be competitive in some of the losses. I was wrong. Maybe the early parts of the South Florida game and the Penn State games.

Lovie will be back next year. Maybe he can win six games against a weak schedule and save his job. The program will still be treading water though.

Does Iowa think they have a chance at the playoffs by trying to run up the score with their starters?

I’ve suffered for decades as a longtime Illini fan. Especially living out of state. But I’m the opposite. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result. Right now with Lovie, everyday is Groundhog Day.

The sad thing is, Whitman had a ton of money to throw at this. We have the highest paid assistant pool in the league. And this is what we’ve got to show for it.

I hear people saying Lovie should get another year. I’m not sure why people want to keep putting their hand in the wood chipper. Fool me once, shame on me. I’m not getting fooled again. Time to go another direction.
