Not sure what there is to learn about this team from this game other than Jackson State is not much of a challenge. This is kind of like a scrimmage against an intramural all-star team.

My big like is the unselfishness of this team.

As I type this Wagler makes a poor pass and then a poor foul as the interceptor makes a circus shot and gets fouled by Wagler. Frosh error.

Nothing is learned from these games other than giving some PT to guys that likely won’t play much. Seems like IL took the strategy of playing absurdly low cupcakes (JSU, Southern, Rio Grande Valley, LIU Brooklyn) and combined that with tough non conference teams. Would have liked to see more mid-level teams instead of the absolute lowest of the low

Jason Jakstys looks nicely bulked-up.

He just made a quick-twitch rebound.

He could be a late-blooming inside banger for us in a few years.
I feel like if we’re competing at the level we want, JJ is a guy who can soak up 5 fouls when you need him without being a liability. And that is a HUGELY valuable 12th (13th?) man in this transfer era.

We need this version of Ben this season.
Not wanting to say I told you so....but it was almost a certainty he would make a pretty big leap after a season of B1G play, getting Fletched, and getting comfortable. Nothing to lose after last year.

Still to be proven is if can guard against top level teams. But there is no need for him to bury every three attempt....just take open ones in rhythm. This is the guy I expected, but this is not Purdue of UConn either. We will see.

I’ve spent all night analyzing this at super slow-mo. He just takes shorter steps or strides than most. So his legs are moving faster and it just looks like he’s running harder for the same pace.
He runs like Peyton Manning.
