I agree. My point was that if we struggle in the 2nd half, the cries for BU to get fired and the NIT will be in full throat.

It's tongue in cheek the extreme peaks and valleys of our board.

Nice first half. Limited TOs so far. Really like Domask already. Not overly impressed with Illini D, but more than willing to chalk that up to first “real” game and some combinations on D that might not see much time together during regular season.

Don't accept spoiled freshman play like last year and Illinois will be rock solid.

very entertaining first half.......

Up 6 with Cohawk and TSJ hitting their 3's...........

Harmon with excellent help defense .....twice negating a gayhawk advantage.........

Love our depth....gonna cause trouble to a lot of our opponents this year.......

Domask with a great floor game.....already made me forget the MM debacle from last year.......great upgrade..........

Ty has had a steady 1st half , moving the ball like a PG should.....adds an extra dimension with ability to take smaller guard to the rim.......HAS to improve his FT % for us to get past the 1st weekend of NCAA tourney......

1st Half notes:
-Ty has a truly outstanding 1st half on offense. Took advantage of soft defense by his defender and punished him, rotated the ball well and screened opening up open threes. He is having a great game on that end of the floor. Defense has been hit and miss. Some great plays, and some bad losses of his man. That said, overall a strong game from him
-TSJ is unstoppable
-CoHawk with a great game all around
-Sencire looked lockdown out there on defense and I liked his aggressiveness.
-Luke had a rough half on both ends
-Domask needs to be more stout defensively
-Amani is going to be a good one in a year, just needs a little more time
-Guerrier looked good out there
-Harmon with some fast hands on defense in support.

Overall, good half. Some sloppy play, some poor half court sets, but overall that was a really solid half.

Yes. The impressive part is how many we played, and how well we've played against what is basically their every game rotation.

Only 5 assist on 17 made shots. Strange? 2 of 6 from charity stripe. QG, 10 minutes, 6 rebounds.

Didn’t think I was crazy when I said we’d beat Kansas today after our exhibition… and so far looking pretty good. Let’s keep it up guys!

I’ll be interested in how much time SH, DGL, Moretti and Hansberry see in second half. None of them played much in first half.
