Maryland has been reeling lately losing three straight games, which in the B10 means the game will go down to the wire, lol.

Prediction: ILL 83 Crabland 69

I think we hold a solid lead of at least 10 pts for most of the game. It gets close or they lead for a small amount of time, probably during the beginning.

We play solid and we win handily as the Turtles do not have the guard play to slow our guards down. 15 point win, 83-68 as we let more bench play and they get a few late scores to get it to 15.

Every team in the BIG can beat any other team. Sure we are better than MD, but MD is not terrible.

What I would really like to see is a first half where we don’t turn the ball over like 10 times. Missing shots is part of the game, but our starts with multiple turn overs really has to be addressed.

We really have a team that can beat any team in America, but they can also loose to many teams just because of sloppy play. What did Chris Collins say: “high risk high reward passing team”. I think that is great but stupid turn overs are the main thing that holds this team back.

Yeah hope they don’t catch us looking ahead to Nebraska
HAhaha, but seriously.

This is another game where a couple of guys having decent games offensively should carry the team enough to be at least tied toward the end.

A bad game by Maryland should doom them, but I don't expect that at all. They are coming off a rough 40-minute schooling by an elite offense, and they know what's coming. Their hope is to come out with higher energy and catch Illinois being lazy, getting a lead or at least a lot of fouls called. And we know that's possible.

Their defense isn't great (giving up 70 is routine now) - if Illinois gets a decent lead they should hold on to it. Gotta not spot them points, though.

I am dreaming of 2 halves like the second half against NW.

Like I said, I'm dreaming.

I'm not sure why a team would look ahead to the worst team in the conference.

Im hoping that they're learning what they've got to do. If WE know it, surely they do as well?

It will take a few minutes to get comfortable. After that it will hang with a 2-6 point spread either way. This team should not hang with anybody. Guys, put out the effort to take us to the top, and I don't mean just the Big Ten.

Hope they put in another workman like effort, control the game, and use the full rotation.
