See, if he picks up another foul, you have to put him on the bench and you can't afford to have him out for long periods of time. So the clear solution is to voluntarily put him on the bench and have him out for long periods of time.

I would be totally fine with both.
These first few minutes will determine the game.
Curbello would really have helped in a game like this as he would have gotten open shots for others. The 4 out only works if we have Kofi PNR would work with Hawkins or out to Plummer. We need to hope Kofi does not get a third quickly as Maryland will do everything in their power to do that at the start of this half.
Extremely happy for Ayo, nobody deserves this more. But really, the 1LL1NO1S font??
The good news is that for as awful as the shooting was in the first half, they can flip the script fast.
Shooting stats tell the story. Team has to believe in their shooting and open shots will be there with Kofi in. To win, Kofi will be challenged to play one of the smartest halves of basketball of his young life. His passing and defense will be critical in turning things around. Hope he does not try to play superman....take what comes.

We had a great first 10 minutes
we had a bad last 10 minutes
it happens , especially with your horse on the bench.......
I like to think with Kofi in to start the second half that we will have a great last 20 minutes......
Some of the posts here tonight are so unbelievable it's comical.........This is still a game of 40 minutes I think.......if you are so upset with the Illini maybe you need to just relax and see what happens when Kofi is back in the game......Next year is next year .....If Kofi leaves I am sure BU and staff will address the 5 position before the next season starts....
Me ?.....i'm gonna enjoy what time we have left with Kofi and hope that Belo returns soon .....BU said in the pre-game radio interview it's about conditioning with Belo now , so I take that as his return is imminent....

Yes, but a few of the fouls on the bigs were not good calls. Why risk it?
Right?!? I'd like to see him be more aggressive in looking for his shot but "liability" is a weird way to describe that kind of production. Also forced a Maryland turnover on the last possession of the first half.
