Game Thread: Illinois vs Maryland

Maryland has really really really had our number. If we can keep Scott from going off, I like our chances, but he's had some games against us. So has Young for that matter. Cold day, odd game time, way underachieving opponent who historically plays one of their best games of their season against us... as far as I'm concerned, just get out of this one with a win and I'm happy.
Watching the game live from the SFC… these boys look ready- gonna be a good one.

Coleman keeps getting beat down low and then recovering. He’s successfully recovered 3 of 5, but the others were a basket and a foul. Not a recipe for success, despite the high skill shown on the recovery.
Yeah, we need to start getting as aggressive on the defensive boards as we are on the offensive boards. Just too much waiting flat footed for the bounce off the rim to come to them rather than attacking the ball in the air. Definitely been a problem these past 3 games
