We go up soft. Try to avoid contact but hope for fouls called.

Ive said it before but Brad needs to channel Izzo and get the football pads and brooms out in practice. Teach finishing through contact.

I feel it’s hard to judge in a game where we’re far from 100% with sickness - this game has not been fun to watch, this will probably cost us for the B1G season championship chase, but we’re still dangerous when healthy.

Rest of the season/the tournament is still ahead of us, they still have their chance.

Eh, by the time we lost to PSU the second two times in 2023, we knew who we were. Last year, as demoralizing as it was, we had reason to believe that team had the tools to put it behind them (and they did). This was a straight-up exclamation point that we simply aren’t that good right now … it shattered expectations of actually improving on last year.

Could we still make a run? Sure. But it’s looking almost certain that it won’t be at the level we were all hoping we’d climbed back to - consistently good, fighting for conference titles, getting top 4 seeds. We just proclaimed that our floor is VERY mediocre.

The thing is, it's clear Riley and White are off. Morez is your only big at this point because Ben is not a post defender. You have to play Booth. And he's bad. Very bad. May be one of the biggest misses of this coaching era.

You mean B10 tourney right? Because I can see a 7/8 in the NCAA easily after this "effort." This is a season derailing loss when you get absolutely embarrassed by a team like Maryland. They are literally laughing at us on the floor. No resistance at all. Illnesses happen to every team, but serious tourney contenders do not come out with this type of game faced with those circumstances. The reality is, we will be a 5 to 8 seed and probably exit real early. The last two weeks have been a disaster.

Outworked out coached and out classed. Becoming a theme. Eventually you have to run a real offense that isn’t jacking endless 3 after 3 and hope you rebound. My 7 year olds team does that.

This sure feels like a very bad defining point in the season. Hard to believe a team that could look like this at home at this critical point in the season, could be one that is tough enough to somehow bounce back and make a good tourney run. Hope I’m wrong.
