I could accept some of our guys missing at the rim. That usually doesn't happen, and maybe it's an off night or those Maryland Bigs are just to damn good.

What is frustrating (along with the defense) is the turnovers. Are those fixable? If so, then why are they still turning the ball over?

Lets see if we can allow ANOTHER opposing player score a career high.
I’m guessing the kid get 40 unless he’s pulled out with a 34 pt lead with 12 minutes left.

Switch up the fu*king defense... COACH the team. They need direction and changes when things are going this bad. You cant always sit back watch it implode and then assume it's a teaching moment or you'll get it back later.

My goodness they are frustrating...

It didn't need to be 25 down at half...if your getting destroyed that bad that early, IMO you gotta stop it quicker, or at least try to.

Maryland is clearly a much better team. Adding insult to injury is the stupidity shown by Illini with the turnovers.

What a difference 24 hours make. I hate to dwell on this, but the defense is putrid. It is just God-awful. I don't know what else to say.

Yeah illinois is a 6 or 7 seed in the tourney but this type of beating is a confidence killer

Bingo. That is an unarguable point. This is a soft, soft, soft group. I'm willing to write some of it off to bring freshmen, if I'm being positive.

Have to change the recruiting philosophy.

Btw..... anyone who thinks that KJ is a lottery pick, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. He's borderline unplayable in a game and against athletic guards.

No turnovers for our opponent = no effort, defense, poor IQ. Hummer and Riley just weak, missing layups, not taking it to them. Maryland bench destroyed us.
