Great, another solid defensive stop, albeit against a poor team. I am starting to be encouraged that we are learning from our mistakes and actually progressing defensively as the game goes on. In game adjustments have not been our D's strength this season. Glad to see some.

Luke is too much of a competitor to tolerate too many unproductive possessions.

Well, I didn't have our offense is the problem on my Illinois Football bingo card this week.

um, rules expert said it should have stayed catch on the field?
Clarified afterwards that contact brought receiver to ground from air, so he needed to maintain control to the ground, which he did not.

It sucks, but the answer is to hold on to the ball.

Valentine seems to have lost a little burst earlier in the season he would have been gone

You should try it sometime. I get being frustrated, but try being frustrated at what is actually wrong.

Blaming the refs when the receivers keep dropping the balls is pretty juvenile.
He got 2 feet down, took 2 steps, and got his knee down all prior to hitting the ground and having the ground force a fumble. The rules expert similarly said it should not have been overturned. It's a terrible call.

Here we are in the middle 8. I feel like the middle 8 has been a big story of our season.

Northwestern and Wisconsin not looking like the “easy wins” with those teams playing better and us lingering in limbo.

I will say- all will be forgiven if we come down, score with time running out- and get the ball in the 2nd half and score again.

Games easier when the receivers catch the ball.
