It exists to clear out the lane. Overall, it accomplishes that goal. Refs are usually looking for larger infractions.

This game feels so much like the Purdue game in 2015. We needed the win against another bubble team and were playing great in the first half. Then, right near the end of the half we lost our double digit lead with a couple dumb plays. (Including Tate getting pick pocketed under the Purdue basket just before half for an easy layup)

It is now time to see if we change course from what happened that year. After that year we went in a tailspin. This year can change our course.
