Not sure why we have changed our rotations. Kipper and Dre were first off the bench during streak and were bulldogs on defense. So noticeable since that had not been Kipper's strength in the past. We weren't playing that well offensively or shooting the ball well but played great D during that stretch. Almost like we forgot. We can't rely on our offensive sets or our guards (Ayo or Trent) to create or make passes to others for open shots.

I'll apologize up front if he was talking about his own players. My mistake. Kudos to Sky for catching it correctly. Still doesn't change my feelings about Izzo.

Stars aligned for this outcome. Catching Michigan State on a 3 game losing streak didn’t help one bit.

Gotta get a good run to start the w second half. Also forcing i to Kofi results in too many TO and slows us. I'm lookimg his fine but if there is space. Shoot it. Feed him with our best shooters not GB or DW. but he can also get his on the offensive glass too with the right guys taking the shots.
Let's get off to a fast start and get the crowd in ty he game. I good 8 to 10 point run would be awesome

Why we're feeding a guy who can't make a shot i don't know. Having a hard time getting a open shot. No rhythm to offense, bad shot selection. What's most disappointing is the bad defensive effort. 3 point defense has been awful. They are totally clueless on both ends

We were overachieving. Now we are underachieving. Hopefully they at least make it interesting. This is a sad game to watch at home. I’m glad I didn’t buy tickets to watch this lack of effort.

Thanks for clarification Skyldub. Makes sense. I'm still thinking about your pregame comment...
"If you don't believe in this team.... you should re calibrate your Expectation-O-meter."

I think this half may force me to throw my meter away and get a new "expectation-o meter"

Yeah, I get it.....but I think these two halves are more of a fluke than 7 straight wins in this league.

It's truly amazing how much more vocal the board is when we suck for two halves compared to when we rip off 7 straight B1G wins.

This sucks, but this is more MSU and terrible shooting than "we suck again".

Back to back sellouts and a big 10 title on the line......and we respond this way. Solid.

Georgi and Kofi

Well they are doing to much fouling...Giorgi is visibly out of the game, crying to refs (not his MO), and is clearly regressed and dare I say lost his tough inside. He seems to want to bang to get his shot off, instead of moving his dance feet to do so, like last year.

Back to the game. Win or lose the second half, please show progress back towards the team we know we have, not the one that has looked lost the past 2.5 halves.

My nurse girlfriend works nights now, and I finished an Econ paper and two homework assignments for my MBA program in anticipation of this game ... though my MIND keeps yappin’, my HEART needs to believe a REAL rally is possible. :(

Better just hope your girl friend comes home early

I wondered same thing. Fouls and bad decisions, I think.

Here’s my question. While watching the game, I see MSU players getting screens and mostly open looks. Our guys, Every shot has a hand (usually an entire body) defending.

The question is: “Why is this happening?”
Never any open looks for us, but MSU gets open looks ALL the time.

Coaches put players in position to succeed. They are sagging off our weak offensive players. It’s clogging everything up.
