Game Thread: Illinois vs Michigan State

That sideline reporter is giving us more in 10 min ON KOFI than the Illini staff has over the past week.

I have concerns despite the 8 point lead at 11 minutes in the 1st. Without Kofi and Curbelo, our offense looks like the Illini of the early and mid 2010s--unproductive passes on the perimeter followed by a guard jacking up a 3. It's fine when we're hitting them (like most of the game against Maryland) but not when they stop falling (like at the end of the Maryland game).

Early in the Maryland game, Frazier was making nifty pocket passes to the paint. I thought he went away from that later in the game. I hope he keeps that mindset all 40 minutes tonight.

Love to see the determination and fight from these guys. Ultimately, winning this game now is not nearly as important as guys finding a way to make the TEAM excel when Kofi is not on the floor. Great opportunity...and they are responding.

Agree 100%. Very nicely captured. I despise this type of offense. And the weave stinks.
