Typical Groce led Illinois game. Fall behind fast. On the bright side, our D isn't HORRIBLE (on a few possessions it was), UM is just making shots. Our O looks horrible. 5th graders can play better offense than we've shown.

The "setback" is greatly overstated as a detriment to Michigan. Once they're out there playing it's a non-issue. They are just a better team.

Illinois looks lost, or like they didn't get any sleep since the Rutgers game. Michigan hithing a lot of shots, but they have tons of space each possession. Illinois is getting smothered on O.

Unless we come back and somehow win this, I think Groce will be gone within 72 hours. We won't turn down the NIT bid - not sure whether Groce or Walker will coach.

Nah, I'd keep the NIT bid. That's a few extra games of Experience for the younger guys. Will be helpful down the road.

Well it's early morning... we moved east a time zone... and as our body of work indicates we either don't play well when we need to or we just aren't that good.

Any chance the Illinois Media group has a blooper real set to Sarah McLachlan "Memories" ready to go?

So sad that this is going exactly as I expected it to. The NIT game is going to look just like Alabama a few years ago, and then we'll thankfully be done with the TNT era.
