I'm not trying to lay it on Malcom, but one negative thing I've noticed about his game is that he is a bit soft. He doesn't really have that killer instinct. So games like this where a stud player would will his team to compete or win, he sort of goes missing.

The radio is saying he's hurt today and trying to play through a knee or groin.

This team needs Frank Martin.
I would love Frank Martin as a coach. Get a positive, Groce-like assistant to contrast with his demeanor and you have a classic good cop/bad cop dynamic set up. I'd eat it up.

At 7:45 left in the game: Illinois has 6 assists, 13 turnovers.

(Michigan: 12/6)

Going to go sacrifice a chicken to the Gods so we can win this thing.

Seems uncharacteristic, given the "I liked our energy" pressors he's had most of his career.

As predictable as this was(to me at least), does anybody really believe he doesn't harp on them, push them, prod them....do everything possible to get them ready?

It's a combination of issues. I think he's over his skis, I think his assistants are WAY out of their league and I think as mad as people get at him...the talent on this roster is subpar.

Read the comments about the individual play. There are only so many directions you can go with what he has, BUT he recruited what he has. So, it's on him.

You recruit players with talent, heart and people who fit what you're trying to do. I can't tell what he's trying to do and I don't know if it's because he's lost or because he has pieces that don't fit(No PG prior to Lucas playing, no athletic big who plays on both ends, no quantity of athletic shooters, etc...).

When he had Paul, Richardson, Egwu, etc....they looked like they had it together. It's a lot easier when you have scorers, shooters and rim protectors.

Abrams has been awesome. Not going to die easily. Definitely trying to make up for coming up short in our dream killing BTT loss to Michigan 3 years ago
