2 assists is not great. Off rebounds saving us. Mich is doing a great job defending 3p. I think we can wear their big guys down if we scrap the weave and run more with Kofi trailing for putbacks

Illini are possibly the worst shooting team in the B1G from 15' and out. Will be the reason we don't close games. Reason every team lines up against in last shot scenarios knowing there won't be a plan and only one on one drive and pray. Outbound plays are nonexistent and I consider it a win when it's not an immediate TO.

Definitely an oddball game. Can these guys play 20 more minutes against a team that has taken down top-10 teams and knows how to win? Gotta keep the foot on the gas.

Seeing all this rhetoric centered around being critical on these illini (probably because they assume if they actually positively support this team they will be let down at some point). Guarding your emotions, it's cool. That being said they're leading another ranked team. Finish is critical obviously, but come on guys we have a competitive and talented squad that's showing us they are there talent wise. Also a sidenote I like watching Simpson play...a part of me thinking maybe this is a good visual of what Cureblo eventually provides our dear illini? He's a heck of a facilitator but I think has way more upside offensively than Simpson. Regardless you see how vital a player like Simpson gives to a program...one can only hope we snagged on of those guys in 2020....lets put this game away fellas! PLEASE! Lol

Will be hard if we don't get better shots in the half court. Gotta think they hit a few more threes.

I can't remember a B1G game where a team only had 1 foul at halftime , and for us to only have 3 , that is a miracle....
