It’s actually pretty easy to figure out their zone. 2 guards up top, two bigs on the blocks, and our 3 at the Ft line, flashing. As soon as you penetrate via drive or pass, one of the big men will be open. And if they sag, the penetrator will have an open shot or get fouled from behind…

Just to reiterate two of God's hoop commandments...against a zone defense, the ball has to move quickly. Against a man defense, players have to move quickly. Another of His commandments is don't ever forget or fail to implement those two commandments.

We know that Brad probably is taking the entire team and destroying them. Does he roll his starters back out or prove the point that you've got to be locked in or you don't play. Wagler hasn't been very good either. His shot selection has been awful, but made one of the three 30 footers. He's not making live ball turnovers, which keeps him on the right side of the cut line so far.

Starters … Brad has shown he won’t change on that …

He has to decide to come back first. Im sure him sitting most of the time has given him great thoughts about returning. The basketball roster construction is 100 percent a year to year thing.

Maybe BAM has the flu?

The main issue was no one could shoot that half. Can’t shoot them out of a zone at the rate they are hitting shots.

Aren't almost all of them are with 1 on the shot clock?

Are these the best minutes we have gotten from Petrovic all year?
Yes, no question. Coming into this game his metrics suggested he was in the bottom 10% of all NCAA players. He's been around 40pts per 100possesions worse than the rest of the team on offense, and Illinois is also 10pts per 100possessions worse on defense when he's on the court. It's been that bad.

So today, yes, he has been a revelation. Just a tremendous effort and game from him today. Looked like a B10 starter in his minutes out there. And boy did we need it.

I’ll go against the grain on this, but I’m OK with AS and Ben shooting out of their slumps. Just take good shots with guys like Big Z and Wagler positioned to rebound.
Teams defending us are leaving AS wide open at the 3 for a reason. Because he doesn’t shoot it very well. They might be more concerned about Humrichous but they rather have Ben shoot it than the other players on the court. This is why Ben been getting so many open looks

I think you start him in 2nd half but Andrejs gotta show something quick or pull him.

Maybe he finds something in transition but not optimistic with him against zone

Crocker Johnson tied his season high with 18 minutes left in the half- Love the idea of just giving him wide open shots- it's gonna work... Just believe it into existence.
