Game Thread: Illinois vs Mississippi State

Is it just me or are these ESPN announcers setting up excuses for Mississippi St. if we upset them? They did that for Florida when Oregon State whipped them & a little bit for Kentucky when Iowa shut them out. We should be up more actually than 7-3. Great job everyone in the first half!

EDIT: And the run was the same. An incomplete pass doesn’t add any psychological boost but a good gain (a first down?) they go into the locker e room positive.

there is no reason that he should not be getting 150 combined yards per game rushing / receiving next year as our most featured back

Can't say I was a big fan of that halftime "analysis" either with about 95% of the talk revolving on MSU not playing the way they're capable of due to having a month off and playing with a heavy heart and pretty much no talk about Illinois whatsoever. I realize MSU suffered a big loss, but you can give some credit to the other team.

I’ve been critical of Lunny but I’m encouraged by this half. He adjusted from what wasn’t working early.

I felt IW should have been featured more heavily in multiple games this season and we are seeing it now.
