He played great in the first loss to Purdue when Shannon was out. In fact, most of his best games came in losses this year which probably skewers perception (people are more negative when the team loses, but the coaches notice which is why he has never fallen out of rotation).

Looking at the whole game, seems like this may have always been the plan. Let them fire themselves out and then just beat the s*** out of em

I'll tell you what- we've taken it to them this half and while on our end it comes down to finding the right players to put on the floor, intensity on defense, cleaning the boards, efficient offense, but I think Morehead State also made a gigantic tactical error. They played way too fast and expended too much energy. Their legs are weighing on them this half

Illini had to make it interesting but their offensive showcase is coming up big and it's the role players making the difference. Who would've thought that Dainja, Goode, and DGL would play co-starring roles like this?
