The reason our OL looks so bad is because the pitiful play calling allows no one to get into a rhythm. Offense needs rhythm. QB needs time. There's a way to do that. It's just a chopped up mess. Totally incumbent on completed passes from a QB that is under pressure every single down because there's no commitment to running.

It's a broken record now. They are literally trying to pound a square peg into a round hole over and over.

Bret doesn’t look too happy and is lost. I think some changes will eventually happen but probably not till the end of the season.

Despite that we managed a great first drive with 5-10 yards per play, all the way to the one yard line. Then we decide to shift to brute force for the next two downs, brute force everybody knows we lack. What an I missing here?

Other than the one touchdown pass, the Illini looked like a one legged man in a butt kicking contest almost the whole first half. Surely, we have hit rock bottom and the second half can't possibly be that bad. Can it?

I disagree. We’ve had two successful drives. One with a less than ideal outcome. We had an odd kickoff miscue, which was weird.

My biggest concern is that we have only had two decent drives against a team that is absolutely dog crap.
