They hit some tough shots. We had at least a half dozen spin out. After all that still just down 2.

Just cut down on the unforced turnovers and keep doing what we are doing we should be okay. That’s the one thing we can really control.

Or maybe Nebraska is lucky to be up 2. Not really sure yet.
Absolutely this. Nebraska did everything they could. Illinois did NOT play well, and Underwood's T resulted in a couple of extra points. Yet Nebraska is only up 2.

Q better start shooting the open 3. His success has been shooting the 3 and slashing to the basket. Not drawing fouls and making FT’s, although he’s been better at line. Tonight.

with all the wide open missed 3's and to only be down 2 points at halftime is a minor miracle.......I have a feeling we will wear them down with more transition fast breaking on offense and we should continue to get steals on their O..........

Ty needs to play at least 15 minutes this second half as he has 9 rebounds and does so many things right and is the sparkplug for the beloved......

Doc Domask has sliced nebby up for 10 points and should be able to Booty Ball more in the next 20 minutes.........

Start hitting our open 3's and play tough D Illini.............YOU CAN DO IT......you really really can...............

JMHO..............

We can’t let these teams come into our house and shoot like that. Especially Nebraska. Can we please blow a team out Ffs.

Illini came out strong and played hard defense, outside of a couple lapses (e.g., the inbounds play by Gary). Entertaining half. Hope our shots fall in the second half.

They'll start to fall. We'll be alright. Active hands without fouling on defense was really nice. I feel like it was only Coleman doing that before and now the whole team seems to be doing that. I think that addition is huge. Honestly, I feel that was a big difference in our game against Marquette.

You're right, I get that. But we are just standing around the 3 line, with the exception of Ty who passed it out to guys who are standing on the 3 line. No movement, no inside post ups then kick outs, nothing. And this is after several days off. JFC. Maybe some of the guys closed down the Lion again last night and are still shaking it off. Very, very frustrating.

QG with no points and only 1 board. Just not as aggressive as he was 3 to 4 games ago. Need a few 3's to fall from Harmon and Goode so we get some bench contribution.
He has 4 points and wento the bucket pretty hard 3 times, even tried to dunk on a big..could be more aggressive still tho

With me it’s simple. If Goode gets 2 more open shots in the second half and misses them both. He remains on the bench until the end if we are behind and need a 3. He just does not bring much else, when he is off we have better options than him in the game. He really has not even been close on his shots, just does not appear to be his night.

QC could rebound a little more like he did in earlier games.
Wrist (if hurting) shouldn't effect that

Too many layups are being shot hard off the glass and clanging out. A little softer touch on the bunnies is needed, as this problem has persisted for several games now. The Illini are playing with energy, and Tominaga for Nebby cannot stay that hot with a little tighter defense on him. Brad will make the proper adjustments, and the Illini will pull away in the second half to win.

Can't always play down to our competition. We are a much better team than Nebraska. Not liking this multi-year trend of slow starts to games, then playing catch up in the 2nd half. Although the days of the fake rally's seem to be behind us, it just will not work in the tourney. GO ILLINI!

Respectfully disagree. 4 points, 1 block and tried to throw one down over three defenders. How do you get more aggressive than that?
Get some boards and take a three. He has been really good at times hitting the 3, but seems hesitant to do it.
