BU has to be telling our guys don't call timeout on those. I don't understand his obsession with saving them.
Because in a tight game, which we can all agree it will be, they are pure gold late. There's a ton of schematics late where those timeouts are critical. You have to have guys mature enough to weather some storms in the middle of a game, especially on your home floor. Saving them, as much as possible(not all the time)....it's smart. Now, there are time where you absolutely have to call one and reset everyone or get some rest.

Mirk has been not good. He has caused several breakdowns on defense switching/not switching and he hasn't given much at all on offense. Rough learning game for him.

I love Wagler, but if at any point he wants to not settle for 25 ft 3 point shots that would be great. Actually, that applies for all of the guys

This game will be lost blowing switches defensively because we aren’t razor sharp communicating. Looks a hell of a lot like the UConn game.

It’s amazing how easy it is to get a bucket out of a time out when your head coach, or any coach on the staff for that matter, can actually draw up a play

This is embarrassing! Our offense looks like day 1 of kindergarten compared to theirs. They are crisp, cutting, moving, efficient, pocket passes. Ours is rub screen handoff, jog around, go 1 on 1 and hope.

Sanfort is 12 of 17. Can anyone on our team shut him down.He and Mast are killing us

Ball was moving early in the half and the shots just didn't fall, moved away from that which has been a mistake. Also, Wagler is so unreal for a freshman. Making some huge shots.

Berke Buy-a-Vowel with 3 steals, the Illini team with 2. Hoiberg coached teams always bring the hustle and fight for loose balls. We win this if we can just dial up the intensity and toughness. Playing from 10 down now, and not showing enough to close that gap. No excuses, given the rest and prep time we had before this game.

Nebraska offense > Illini offense
They always have at four guys in motion. We have two at the most and everyone else just stands. I get the two man game but when it isn't working where is the change up? It's been that way the last three years. Defenses constantly have three guys who are getting a breather while we are running non-stop on defense.

I never wish for us to lose. But it is December and you are playing like $&@? so we deserve to lose right now. Have to feel the consequences of getting outplayed because discomfort is the seed for growth.
