To lose this game sucks, but to lose it in the fashion we are really sucks. This is Northwestern absolutely jamming it down our throats all game. And, there is nothing we can, or care to do about it.

I can’t recall a time when Illinois wasn’t one of the dumbest, worst-coached teams in college football. Just an insane commitment to shooting ourselves in the foot.

Is there a way to sue the university for punitive damages for having to watch 5 losses in a row to Northwestern? A last place Northwestern team? Does anyone know a good lawyer?

They will laugh next time we refer to them as Mildcats. Only one team looks mild - both in play and in play calling.
This, my friend, is exactly what this game exhibited and is probably the biggest takeaway.
I never thought this was possible, but I now hate Northwestern more than Iowa. What a pathetic showing by this team. If this is what we put on the field on Senior Day for guys that have “turned around this program” I have lost interest in Illini football. At least we have Basketball?

Officials have not cost IL the game. Totally uninspiring effort and NW dominance. I would have liked to seen Taylor just to get a glimpse of what he looks like
You can blame everyone involved here. Not costing us the game, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be called out for bad officiating.
