To give them extra players to cover receivers in the secondary and hide how bad our DB's are.

I hate myself for watching this.

I'll hate myself more after the inevitable turnover (or 3-and-out) on this drive as well.

I wish I knew. Hasn't worked all season. Not sure why Henry continues to call it in high leverage situations.
Guessing that they trust their all world defensive linemen(preseason thoughts) to get pressure by only rushing three. IN THEORY, if you can get that and drop the rest into coverage....in obvious passing situations, you'll be very difficult to beat. When said defensive linemen end up in a stalemate, as they have much of the year, you're screwed.

QB had ALL DAY to throw that TD. I'm a basketball guy, but isn't it basic football defense to put pressure on the quarterback?? Why do we so often not send enough people toward the quarterback? So frustrating..
You'd think we'd have a defensive coordinator say "we have Newton and Randolph, let's see you account for that." But no, it's instead, "what defense can I call that neutralizes this advantage as much as possible?" Just painful watching it every single game

Well at least it wasn't a turnover, and we got three points out of it. Could have been worse I suppose

I'm happy we got points but we can't settle for just 3 points in this game. Also, Paddock looks skittish for some reason.

Paddock looked a little woozy after that helmet to helmet hit. I guess legal since it wasn't crown of the helmet to a runner or something?
