Most connected college basketball team I’ve seen in my lifetime, not hyperbole. Absolute masterclass tonight.
2005 was probably more connected but not by much, but they were #1 for nearly an entire season.
Keep it up and we get higher than #9, probably won't hit #1 this year but who knows.

Not sure I have ever seen an Illini team play better...and I have been watching Illini hoops teams for 65 years. This team has different talents than 89 and 05 (or 63 Big Ten Champs for that matter), but they played for 20 minutes as close to their potential as I have seen. The bubble may burst eventually....it happens to every team...but they know what they can achieve together.

Not sure I truly believe what I am seeing, but a tip of my cap to CoHawk. It seems he is finding his groove and sure made good decisions for that segment of play. He played like a B1G warrior who knows how to handle every challenge with the correct response. Deep bow of respect to him and the entire team.

Glad to see DGL get tick, but BB was licking his chops when he saw who was guarding him. That's Ok...but learn something and get him next chance Dra!!

Loved the 1st half, only worry is that we're only basically playing 7 deep. Foul trouble/injury or playing someone who plays 9 deep may run us down at some point, especially later in the season when guys start to feel beat up and we play 5 games in 11 days.

Did you miss the two Guerrier buckets out of the post trap…at least one Ty basket I can remember…and probably others?
Most memorable for me was that Goode and 1 drive. Did not expect him to pull that one out much this year.

I’m trying to think of something critical to say but I just can’t. I guess I’d like to see us build our lead enough to get Hansberry and DGl some minutes. We need to develop those guys for next year.
