It still floors me how bad the DL is vs what everyone expected coming in to the season. Absolutely manhandled every game.

While true, he did keep them on another year, that was the mistake. He can't be full-time coach for the entire defense and the OL. You have to delegate something

This next possession by NW will show what our defense is made of. If the Illini allow another long TD drive and we get behind by double digits, our chances for a win tonight will be poor.

Need to look at winning the quarters we have the wind more than we lose the opposite ones. If we can outscore them by more than 3 in the 2nd then that is a win for us

I get much more of a Wisconsin or Washington game vibe, personally. It will start out as a theoretical "Can we outscore them?" game, but as it becomes obvious our defense once again didn't show up, it will demoralize our offense ... and as our offense loses steam as the game progresses, we will slowly get down by multiple possessions and pretty much wet the bed.

Flying that punt into the endzone is a low key awful play that's going to go overlooked. No adjustment for the wind or no intention of kicking it low and forcing a NW player to field it in the conditions.

Right, he’s the guy with experience, who is responsible for putting the right staff together. He’s got to step up in that regard.

Silver lining to the NW score is we don’t have to listen to ‘into the wind’ anymore. I hope anyway. Clearly it can be done.
