Hate to say it, but the BB Era might hinge on literally starting over on defense next year. While that likely means no Henry and going out and paying as much as we can afford for a great DC, it will also mean some serious personnel turnover. This D is just nothing short of embarrassing, even when they end up not giving up that many points…

I have seem some ridiculous plays by our D this year, but that one takes the cake. Sportcenter level. Incompetent coaching, incompetent players.

Heckel is not good in coverage. 2 penalties on defense that drive and of course our dline can never get to the QB. Jacas is overrated or the rest of our dline just is bad.

3rd and 12 is when you flippin bring the heat- I HATE this defense- so tired of seeing us out of position and constantly playing conservative. It was obvious we needed to move on from Henry last season- I as well as many others said he had to go- Bret was too blind to see the necessary change apparently.

The sad part is Henry is a DB coach. He has to be gone. Just laughably terrible. Defense literally has not improved in one aspect in two years. Inexcusable for a guy making 3/4 of a mil.

My HS allowed 56 points yesterday and got Al Bundied by a LeWin kid and they might be better overall and far better coached than this Illini defense
