Exactly the kind of half-assed start I feared. Illini thinking a team that thrives on arc shooting won't dare shoot 3s against a mighty B1G team. And then they do.
Oakland finally missed one. Phew
Honestly, defense on 2 of those 3 makes was high quality. Nothing you can do about that. Offense needs some help
Outstanding steal, finish And 1 by TSJ. Big play early
Not sure how the Illini are going to win this game. Oakland has decent size and athleticism with considerable advantage in making shots. TSJ can't do it alone.

Rotating Ty inside on offense is exactly how I thought Brad would utilize him this year. He's a PG almost in name only outside of bringing the ball up the court. I think this is a wise move- Ty needs to be able to finish though
I will say, the missing of open threes and bricking of free throws is PTSD inducing
