Offense came out very aggressive and running plays through. Ball gets sticky and they never recovered. Taking shots out of rythym and not within the flow of the offense. Ack.

The officiating is not great but that's not why we are losing.....this team literally has no emotion. They showed emotion the first 3 minutes and then it was gone. Someone needs to step up and get mad and light a fire under this team.

That was some ugly, ugly basketball for the last 10 mins or so. I think Groce was sending a message to Malcolm with him being on the bench there the last few mins in favor of djw.

And speaking of malcolm, something I've noticed the last few games is him going up for midrange shots and kind of pushing the ball up towards the rim with one arm, rather than actually shooting the ball. Anyone else noticed this?

Yess very winnable. DJ had good D possession prior...like his energy.
MH can't be held down much longer. very frustrating that everyone goes cold at same time.

I sort of understand why Groce chooses not to have our guys crash the offensive boards against a team like MSU that rebounds the ball and immediately gets the ball up court. But Ohio State has been purposefully slowing the game down into a half-court set. They are not trying to push the ball. I can't figure out why you wouldn't at least try and get an offensive rebound. Another side point, this game is the EXACT reason why I don't think Malcom will make it in the NBA

Considering we're playing another basketball team AND the zebras, we're not in too bad a shape even with our horrible offensive showing after the first five minutes.

Let's shore up the rebounding and MAKE A SHOT once in a while!

True. Their best offense is in transition. Of course their is no transition game if you can't clear you defensive boards. When they get a rebound they need to push. OSU's half court D is really good.

We dominated the first 6 minutes, but Matta was able to slow the pace down and ramp up his defense. Nice job by him.

We really have to send more guys to the glass (philosophically), at this level you can and should be able to expect 2 guys to rotate back and stop transition.
