I believe that rule applies to secondary defenders (beat your man off the dribble, secondary defender slides over to take charge inside circle, auto block call). Player control fouls can be called w/i the restricted area vs. the primary defender (Post player backing down his defender then steamrolling defender inside circle).

I’m sick of rationalizing why players seem to save their career games for when we NEED to beat them.
Their defense has been very good!
You don’t see the impact he has? You don’t see how perfect he would be in our lineup? I knew this game would be an issue. We have problems with bigger 4’s.

Soft team, no mental toughness. Cannot sustain success, maybe reading too many press clippings in the beginning.
Coaching staff has to light something, and the presumed "leaders" on this team have to step up. Have not seen it this season.

I feel like thats been the story in a lot of our games (Maryland, Rutgers, Mizzou, Northwestern 1st half). Our offense often looks lost.
The irony being how we worship Trent Frazier and Damonte Williams here and they can’t sniff numbers like that.
EJ Liddell is a great college player. Don’t down play that.

He's a good player. Let's slow way down on him being great. That label gets thrown around quite a bit and he is not anywhere close to great.

Ohio St is punking us in our house. We can not go down 10+ and think it is ok, good teams will beat us and most in the B10 are good. On a fix it note, I want Trent to go at the bucket & score, he passed up 3 layups for others to jack up a 3.
I'm sure they have, along with pounding it he during every time out. Kofi isn't the most explosive guy in the world and I think that's becoming more and more evident. Game after game, we're pleading with him to go up and dunk it. We're pleading with him to keep the ball high. Yet, game after game he puts the ball on the floor, has to set himself, then tries to finesse it in.
I think all of it is summed up in coaching.
Kofi is fundamentally terrible . I'm watching these offensive sets and it basically involves the perimeter players during a 4 man weave while he wrestles with his man underneath the basket . He needs to get better at setting screens and moving without the ball because I just dont see how what he is doing now combined with his poor ft shooting translates to the nba .
