An hour in advance, for those who are already ready to attack Aaron Henry, you seem to focus on their inability to stop the pass, want to blitz and you get on him for not being aggressive. It's easy to focus on that because it's where the huge plays come from.
That said, we're #99 in stopping the run. They're #22 in running it. There's only a couple of way to stop that and 1)it's putting more guys on the line of scrimmage, 2)bring your linebackers up or 3)pray that your front four can stand their ground.
In the absence of #3, with the enormous gap in talent with their absolutely phenomenal receivers and our sub par corners/safeties.....there's absolutely nothing that can be done to even slow that down much less stop it.
100% of their success is dependent on that front four getting to the QB and holding their own in the trenches. Can they do it? If you can't stop the run, you won't stop anything else.
For those who are screaming about blitzing, if the back breaks that first line of defense, he's gone. If they run a screen, he's gone.
The answer to all of this? Find at least one thing to slow down and Henry, correctly, gives the cushion to the receivers(which drives people nuts) in an effort to slow down the running game. Keeping the clock running and shortening the game is the only hope to keep this within two scores.
