True but Oregon needs style points if they want any hope of making the playoffs. A close win ain’t cutting it to get into the top 12

Style points really dont matter that much. If Oregon loses again, they are out with 3+ losses. If they win out, 0% chance a 10-2 Duck team gets left out (regardless of score today).

Even with the multiple missed tackles, Illini defense has shown definite improvement so far today over our previous games. If we can generate some offensive consistency in the second half with runs and quick hitting passes, we can give ourselves a chance to make this competitive to the end. If Clayton is still struggling to start the 3rd quarter, I would not be averse to giving Boyd his shot to see if he can move the sticks.
