Game Thread: Illinois vs Oregon

[Mr. Tibbs]

Is this Bret’s best win in CU if we hang on. It’s up there for me. Just hang on but it’d rescue a season appeared to be left for dead.

it’s in the top 3
win over Michigan & win over USC both in same league

Just all around atrocious coaching from Dan Lanning, what the hell is wrong with Oregon this year? Their problems go beyond Dante Moore being injured.

[Tyrone HoggLegg]

We're in good hands with Raiola, stay confident fellow Illini fans.

I lost money betting against them but I don’t care. Nice game!

[PNWIllini]

Holy crap it’s happening

[Red77sng]

I apologize to Bret and the defense for opening my mouth during the game

[Curbelo Fanboy]

Never doubt BERT

[TooHot4Tots]

Props to coaching staff adjusting. Impressed

[CDRUSN]

Illini are quoting Scripture to Oregon from the book of

Hold onto the ball. We do not have a great track record with covering onside kicks.

[hiberto]

why is lanning calling timeouts without the ball down 2 scores with 47 seconds left

[Ramrod2010]

Those are some crazy streaks to break.

ETA: Get that punt off...

With a real chance to win two in a row next week. This would absolutely be a season saving win.

Which USC? They are both up there

[Illiniguy13]

Take nothing away from us, but what an absolute horror show from Oregon today.

Couldn’t write up a worse nightmare scenario for them. Against a 2nd string freshman qb?!

Wins over TN and SC in the mix also

He isn’t perfect but he’s a damn good ball coach. He pretty much always finds a way to keep his teams in the game. They play smart sound basic football. He’s just a grinder and the best coach we’ve had in my lifetime. And I’ll be 55 on Monday.

To try and win? I know we’re not used to good timeout management.

Yeah they have all kinds of 5 and 4 stars on that roster. I stand corrected the defense was great today.

Homecoming last year I assume as it was referring to home games

[TheFlyingIllini1317]

Get the punt away, then tackle!!!

Sorry, missed that post was about wins at home

Raiola = crappy qb. he's now 0 wins, 2 loses vs. beloved.

Agreed, original question was home specific though.

And to that point I'd agree it's top 3.

[chiefini]

Oh, yea of little faith! Or however you spell it!
Victory Illinois, Varsity!

[Pikeillinifan]

What a huge win for the season, and program.
